On June 20, 2024, a meeting between Odyssey Bigvava, the Acting Minister, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was held at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The meeting is timed to coincide with the 61-st round of the International Geneva Discussions on security and stability in the Transcaucasus, scheduled for June 25-26, 2024.

The parties discussed the agenda for the next round, as well as a wide range of current issues.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of promoting a legally binding agreement on international guarantees of the non-use of force, as well as the problem of ensuring security in the region.
