On May 6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia accepts documents from citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia, graduates of secondary schools, to participate in the competitive selection for enrollment to the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

The meetings of the interdepartmental Russian-Abkhaz working commission were held on 2 and 3 June in Sochi and Novorossiysk on the board of the cruise liner "Prince Vladimir», during which the issue of the resumption of sea passenger traffic between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia was discussed.

On May 2, 2019 Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with Rogelio Floras, the Vice-President of the International Federation Karate-Do Shotokan Kaze Ha at the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia.

Lilianne Mori Pasquier, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), in an interview with the Georgian media, said of the “alarming facts coming in” related to the situation “in the occupied territories of Georgia”.

On April 26, a training was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, organized by the delegation of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization  (UNPO) in cooperation with the Council of Young Diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

The International Youth Rally “Leader” started in Transnistria on April 19,2019. Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) and Vitaly Yankovsky, the Head of the Official Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in PMR took part in the opening ceremony of the International Youth Meeting at the invitation of the organizers. The organizers of the Rally were the Republican Party “Renewal” and the youth wing of the party - “Youth Renewal”.

The V-th anniversary Yalta International Economic Forum «WORLD. RUSSIA. CRIMEA. NEW WORLD REALITY» takes place in Crimea from April 18 to April 20,2019. The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia is represented by Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adgur Ardzinba, the Minister of Economy and the deputies of the Parliament-National Assembly.

The meeting between Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Adgur Ardzinba, the Minister of Economy with Sergey Aksenov, the Head of the Republic of Crimea took place on the fields of the V-th Yalta International Economic Forum. The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between Abkhazia and Crimea.

The meeting between Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Foreign Minister and the representatives of the international non-governmental organizations « Action Against Hunger» (AAH), «World Vision» (WW) and «Danish Refugee Council» (DRC) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia on April 18, 2019.

The 47-th round of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the South Caucasus which was attended by the representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States under the co-chairmanship of the UN, OSCE and the EU took place on April 2-3 April 2019 in Geneva. The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia was headed by Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister.

The meeting of Kove D.V. and Lavrov S.V., the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation was held on April 1,2019.
