On April 28, 2026, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela participated in a ceremony dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership relations between Russia and China at the invitation of Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Venezuela.

The event took place in Caracas on the grounds of the National Pantheon and the Simón Bolívar Mausoleum.

The ceremony was led by the heads of the diplomatic missions of China and Russia, Ambassador Lan Hu and Ambassador Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Venezuela also participated in
the ceremony.
