On May 19, 2026, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela participated in a ceremony commemorating to the 223-rd anniversary of Haiti's National Flag Day at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti.
The ceremony took place at the sarcophagus of Simón Bolívar the Liberator in the National Pantheon in Caracas.
The event was chaired by Raúl Li Causi, Deputy Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela for Caribbean Affairs, and Jean-Marie Vaval, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Haiti to Venezuela.
The ceremony was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Venezuela, representatives of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, media representatives, and other distinguished guests.
