On March 18, 2026, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua Alias Ayba presented copies of his credentials to Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Valdrack Jaentschke.
The event was attended by Laureano Ortega, Advisor to the President for Investment, Trade, and International Cooperation, as well as representatives of Nicaragua's official media.
Following the presentation of copies of credentials, both sides expressed their mutual intention to continue to effectively strengthen and expand ties between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua in a spirit of brotherhood, cooperation and mutual respect at all levels.
