At the invitation of the National Assembly-Parliament of the Republic of Nicaragua and the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Nicaragua, Inar Ladaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Nicaragua and the Embassy's Minister-Counselor attended a special session in honor of the "International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine," held by the National Assembly-Parliament of Nicaragua.
The event featured speeches by Gustavo Porras, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly who read and presented a letter to Majed Abualhawa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Nicaragua, reaffirming the National Assembly's unwavering commitment to justice, peace, and the defense of the sacred rights of the State of Palestine.
He added that the Nicaraguan Parliament reaffirms its determination to continue promoting active solidarity with Palestine in international forums and bilaterally.
In turn, Majed Aboualhawa, Palestinian Ambassador thanked Nicaragua for its support. He emphasized that Nicaragua is not just another country showing solidarity, but a brotherly nation that understands the value of dignity, sovereignty, independence, and the bitter taste of struggle against empires.
Wilfredo Navarro, Chairman of the Nicaragua-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group called on the international community to remember its responsibility to facilitate the establishment of the State of Palestine so that this heroic people can return to their homes from which they were forcibly expelled.
He condemned the killings of Palestinian children, brothers, and sisters in Gaza and the West Bank, despite calls for a ceasefire from countries that express solidarity with the suffering of this heroic people.
