Inar Ladaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua and Alias Aiba, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy attended a ceremony dedicated to the 130-th anniversary of the heroic death in battle of José Martí, a national hero of the Republic of Cuba, poet, writer and outstanding figure in the struggle for the island's independence.
The event was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, emphasizing the historical solidarity and spiritual connection based on the common principles of sovereignty and social justice between peoples.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Nicaraguan government, including the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
In their speeches, the participants emphasized the enduring significance of José Martí's ideas, his contribution to anti-colonialist, revolutionary activities and the relevance of his humanistic heritage for modern Latin America.
