On February 21, Khibla Amichba, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Federal Republic of Germany took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Memorial to the fallen Soviet soldiers in the Tiergarten Park in Berlin.

The event on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day was attended by Sergey Nechayev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Germany heads of a number of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, veterans and residents of the besieged Leningrad, diplomats of the CIS member countries, BRICS and the countries of the Global South.
