At the invitation of the Director of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Imad Mustafa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Ali and the Embassy's Counselor, Consul Gais Al-Harki took part in a seminar dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Syrian-Russian relations.
During the seminar, a discussion took place on the history of the development of Syrian-Russian relations based on equality, mutual respect and unity of positions on key issues.
Ambassador Muhammad Ali noted the high level of development of interstate Abkhazian-Syrian and Abkhazian-Russian cooperation, emphasizing Sukhum's desire to develop and strengthen strategic relations with Damascus and Moscow.
Muhammad Ali thanked the leadership of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Russia, represented by Rector Alexander Yakovenko, and the faculty staff for their support in training professional diplomatic personnel for the Republic of Abkhazia.
The seminar was attended by the Syrian Minister of Information Boutros Hallak, assistants to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria Ayman Raad and Habib Abbas, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Damascus.
The event was organized by the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria.
