On August 12, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, took part in a meeting chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yvan Gil Pinto, during which a new attempt by the government of the United States of America to destabilize the situation in Venezuela was discussed.
During the meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Caracas, Yvan Gil said that the United States, through the Southern Command (Comando Sur), wants to attack not only Venezuela, but all of Latin America in order to achieve "complete destabilization."
In connection with the new attempt of the US government to destabilize Venezuela by offering a "ridiculous" reward for the "dead or alive" capture of President Nicolas Maduro, Minister Yvan Gil called on the international community to condemn this act of terrorism, which constitutes a gross violation of the Charter of the United Nations.
Gil noted that despite the aggression, Venezuela is still on the path to prosperity, economic growth, but most importantly, sovereignty and food security.
The meeting was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, media etc.
