The Ministry of Education of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic hosted a meeting between the Minister of Education of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Svetlana Ivanishina and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR Alexander Vataman.

They discussed cooperation in the field of education for the 2025-2026 academic year, including joint projects for schoolchildren (educational, historical, creative) with the possibility of remote participation.

Earlier, on May 6, in Sukhum, Alexander Vataman and the Minister of Education of Abkhazia Khana Gunba agreed to prepare proposals for joint events and an online meeting to coordinate plans.

Svetlana Ivanishina supported this initiative, noting the commonality of historical views and educational systems. The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere.
