Eskinder Yirga Asfaw, Ethiopian Ambassador spoke at the event, presenting Ethiopia's strategy in Africa and within BRICS, emphasizing the country's economic potential and active participation in multilateral initiatives.

Ethiopia, a BRICS member since 2024, boasts a population of over 125 million, a rich 3 000-year history, and significant economic potential. The recent opening of Africa's largest hydroelectric project has become an important symbol of its development and strengthening role on the international stage.

Hibla Amichba asked questions regarding Ethiopia's international multilateral relations, its relations with Eritrea, and historical and cultural aspects. Among other things, she mentioned the presence of a monument to the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin in the capital, Addis Ababa, located on a street named after him.

The Ambassador provided comprehensive answers to these and other questions, emphasizing the importance of intercultural dialogue and the exchange of experiences.

The event confirmed the importance of dialogue between diplomats, experts, and representatives of the international community, and strengthened Berlin's role as a platform for discussing BRICS global initiatives.
