Ethiopia, a BRICS member since 2024, boasts a population of over 125 million, a rich 3 000-year history, and significant economic potential. The recent opening of Africa's largest hydroelectric project has become an important symbol of its development and strengthening role on the international stage.
Hibla Amichba asked questions regarding Ethiopia's international multilateral relations, its relations with Eritrea, and historical and cultural aspects. Among other things, she mentioned the presence of a monument to the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin in the capital, Addis Ababa, located on a street named after him.
