On June 10, 2026, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Avidzba and President of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey Yauz Atryshba attended a gala reception at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey to mark Russia Day, celebrated on June 12.
