In connection with the start of the new school year, the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in Damascus held a charity event for the Abkhaz-Adyg Diaspora living in Syria. The Embassy staff distributed school supplies to 150 students in primary and preparatory classes in the Qudsiya region.

The event was organized on the initiative of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Ali and the Counselor of the Embassy, ​​Head of the Consular Department Gais Al-Harki.

The meeting with representatives of the Abkhaz-Adyg Diaspora took place at the headquarters of the Circassian Charity Society in Damascus, which was also attended by the outstanding Syrian artist and UN Goodwill Ambassador Muna Wassef.

Muhammad Ali thanked the Chairman of the Circassian Charity Society, Dr. Gassan Shor, and the members of the Board of Directors for the warm welcome, conveying greetings from the Government and people of Abkhazia to the Abkhaz-Adyg Diaspora. He also recalled the attention of the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania and the President of Syria Bashar al-Assad to science and students.

Muhammad Ali wished the students a successful academic year, new achievements and a desire for knowledge.
