A memorial site with a thematic banner dedicated to the beginning of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia 1992-1993 was opened in Tiraspol near the building of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

During the day, Tiraspol residents who had been to Abkhazia and know what a terrible disaster befell Abkhazia on August 14, 1992, came to the Representative Office.

Flowers were laid by diplomats from Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia, public representatives, civil servants, and media representatives at the thematic banner dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. Photos and videos of the events of 33 years ago were shown on a large screen in the premises of the Official Representative Office.
