On November 25, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ombudsman of Venezuela Alfredo Ruiz, took part in the ceremony on the occasion of the 204th anniversary of the Armistice and War Settlement Treaty.
The event took place in the National Pantheon in Caracas.
The ceremony was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Venezuelan Ministry of Defense, media and other guests.
The Armistice and War Settlement Treaty was an important event in the history of human rights and international humanitarian law, a result of the leadership and vision of Simón Bolívar and Marshal Antonia José de Sucre, reflecting the humanist and pacifist nature of the Venezuelan people.
