August 12, 2025. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, took part in a gala event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Iran. The event was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto.

The choir of the Persian Cultural Institute in Venezuela performed the national anthems of both countries, and traditional Persian and Venezuelan music was played. Those present viewed a photo exhibition, and at the end of the event, there was a tasting of gourmet dishes from the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education of Venezuela Ricardo Sanchez, the Minister of Foreign Trade Coromoto Godoy, the Ombudsman Alfredo Ruiz, the Vice-Minister for Asian Affairs Tatiana Pugh, the Vice-Minister for European and North American Affairs Andrea Corao and the Vice-Minister for Multilateral Affairs Ruben Molina, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, representatives of the Iranian Embassy in Venezuela and officers of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
