August 15, 2022 Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, took part in the opening of the Army Games 2022 "Sniper Frontier" in the state of Lara in Venezuela.
The event was also attended by Eduard Sokolov, Minister-Counselor of the Russian Federation, Luis Gasia, Minister-Counselor of the Republic of Cuba and Denis Logunov, Minister-Counsellor of the Republic of Belarus.
The opening ceremony began with a parade of military delegations participating in the competitions of the countries: Abkhazia, Russia, Belarus, Bolivia, Uzbekistan and Maimara.
The parade was followed by a performance by Venezuelan and Russian creative teams.
During the event, Zaur Gvadzhava met with General Vladimir Padrino Lopez, the Minister of Defense of Venezuela, with Admiral Mariani Indira Mata Quijada, the Director General for Integration and International Affairs of the Ministry of Defense and with the Governor of the State of Lara, Adolfo Pereira.
After the opening of ceremony, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, met with Colonel Alexander Achba, the head of the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, and other members of the delegation participating in the competition. The Ambassador wished the representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia success and good luck in the competition.
