On July 18, 2025, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the invitation of Valeska Fiorella Lopez, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Nicaragua in Venezuela took part in a ceremony dedicated to the 46-th anniversary of the Victory of the Sandinista People's Revolution.

The ceremony was headed by Chargé d'Affaires of Nicaragua Valeska Fiorella Lopez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin American Affairs Rander Peña and Ombudsman of Venezuela Alfredo Ruiz Angulo.

Zaur Gvadzhava congratulated the Chargé d'Affaires and all employees of the embassy on the holiday. The parties discussed the visit of the Abkhaz delegation headed by Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs which is in Nicaragua to participate in the celebrations. The ambassador expressed confidence that this would give another impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.

The event was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, the media and other guests.
