On July 7, 2025 Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the invitation of Andrei Molchan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Venezuela took part in a ceremony dedicated to the Independence Day of Belarus and the 81-st anniversary of the liberation of the territory from the Nazi invaders.
The ceremony was held at the National Pantheon "Mausoleum of Simon Bolivar" in Caracas.
The official ceremony was chaired by Ivan Gil, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Andrei Molchan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Venezuela and in the presence of Andrea Corao, Deputy Minister for European and North American Affairs.
Belarus celebrates Independence Day and the liberation of its territory from Nazi invaders on July 3 — the day when Soviet troops and Belarusian partisans entered Minsk in 1944.
The event was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the media and other guests.
