On December 17, 2024 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, took part in the ceremony on the occasion of the 194th anniversary of the death of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
The ceremony of honoring the memory of the Liberator Simon Bolivar took place in the National Pantheon in Caracas.
The event was chaired by the Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, accompanied by the Vice President for Political Affairs, Civil Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, the Vice President for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Iván Gil, as well as other representatives of the Venezuelan leadership and the accredited diplomatic corps.
In her speech, the Vice President highlighted, among other things, Bolivar's call for Latin American unity, his profound faith in man, justice and equality, his anti-imperialist character, his military doctrine regarding independence and sovereignty, as well as his tenacity and optimism.
