On March 6, 2025, at the invitation of the Apostolic Nuncio to Venezuela, Archbishop Alberto Ortega Martin, a plenary meeting of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was held.

The event, which took place at the Secretariat of the Apostolic Nunciature in Caracas, was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava.

Diplomats discussed current issues and resolved matters of mutual interest during the meeting. In particular, the issue of creating an Executive Committee of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as the appointment of a secretary and treasurer, was discussed.

A decision was made at the meeting to hold the next meeting in approximately three weeks to monitor all the issues discussed.
