The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the occasion of the sixteenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The note states, in particular:

"July 23, 2010, is a truly significant date in the modern history of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on this day became the key to the development of friendly and cooperative relations between our peoples and states.

We are pleased to note that since the recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, there has been stable interaction.

A meaningful political dialogue has been established, and the agenda of our interstate cooperation is steadily expanding.

We look forward to continuing our meaningful communication and fruitful joint work for the benefit of our countries."
