The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, on the 32nd anniversary of Victory Day and Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The message states, in particular:

"It is a great honor for me to address you on behalf of the people and government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as on my own behalf, to express our fraternal greetings and most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia."

On this historic day, the people of Abkhazia proudly raised their national flag, definitively securing their independence.

Venezuela, a resolute defender of the right of peoples to self-determination, wishes to honor the memory of those who gave their lives for Abkhazia's freedom. Their heroic feats will remain an enduring legacy for present and future generations."
