The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of the sixteenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua. 

The note states, in particular: 

"We note with satisfaction that since the recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, there has been stable interaction and a progressive enhance of interstate ties. Abkhazia is interested in the further development of political dialogue and the expansion of the entire range of bilateral cooperation. 

We look forward to continuing our meaningful communication and close joint work for the benefit of our fraternal peoples.”
