The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua.

It is noted, in particular:

"The day of September 10, 2009 is a truly significant date in the modern history of the Republic of Abkhazia. The establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua on this day became the key to the development of relations of friendship and cooperation between our peoples and states.

We note with satisfaction that since the recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, stable interaction has been observed.

We welcome the confident development of our political dialogue and the progressive development of bilateral relations. These relations are of particular importance to us.

We are ready to fully facilitate the further development of the entire range of mutually beneficial strategic interstate cooperation for the benefit of our fraternal peoples."
