The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the state holiday - Day of the Republic of South Ossetia.

It is noted in particular:

"The adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty on September 20, 1990 is one of the most important historical events for the Republic of South Ossetia. This day embodies the courage and unity of the South Ossetian people, their desire for freedom and independence.

Over the past time, the South Ossetian people have endured severe trials, which they selflessly passed, winning the right to freedom and independence.

We are confident that the historically established fraternal relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia will only strengthen."
