The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressing solidarity and unconditional support for the leadership of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

It is noted:

"The government and people of Abkhazia share and support the constructive efforts of the leadership of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela aimed at building of a dignified and lasting peace based on respect for the independence and sovereignty of peoples and their right to independent development. Our countries are united by a commitment to a peaceful foreign policy and the rejection of any form of pressure on sovereign states in international relations.

We resolutely oppose threats of force and attempts at armed intervention against sovereign states. We believe that the practice of forceful intervention contradicts the fundamental principles and norms of international law and the UN Charter and cannot be used as an instrument of state foreign policy."

In these difficult times, we express our solidarity and unconditional support to the leadership of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

We are convinced that neither military threats nor the colossal political pressure exerted from outside can break what is most important—the resilience and fortitude of the Venezuelan people."
