January 22, 2020 marks the 27-th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The Treaty which was signed during the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993 became a historic step in the development of the relations between the two states. It enshrined the trustful nature of cooperation and identified the areas of bilateral interaction.
The agreements were subsequently concluded in a variety of areas of mutual interest based on the Treaty. The interstate legal base includes about 30 agreements today.
The relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic have reached the highest level since the signing of the Treaty. The political dialogue is ongoing, the comprehensive interaction is developing on the basis of friendship and mutual understanding.
The difficult international situation further links the Republic of Abkhazia and PMR in the matter of protecting of the independence and preserving sovereignty.
We are convinced that the positive dynamics in the development of the relations between Abkhazia and Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will continue in the future.
