On August 9, 2024, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Shamba and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev and the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia Garry Kupalba.

Oleg Botsiev and Garry Kupalba congratulated Sergey Shamba on his appointment as head of the Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the current state of Abkhazian-South Ossetian and Abkhazian-Pridnestrovian relations and further steps to develop and strengthen them were discussed.

The meeting was held in a traditionally warm and friendly atmosphere.
