On April 2, this year, a solemn ceremony of inauguration of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Zurabovich Gunba took place.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of Government, members of the Central Election Commission, honorary guests from the Russian Federation, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Nicaragua, and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The inauguration ceremony was opened by the Speaker of the People's Assembly-Parliament of Abkhazia Lasha Ashuba.

At the solemn ceremony, the elected President Badra Gunba, placing his hand on the text of the Constitution of Abkhazia, took the oath to the people of Abkhazia in the Abkhaz language. After this, he was presented with the attributes of presidential power - a standard, a seal with the coat of arms of the Republic of Abkhazia, a saber, and an Abkhazian staff - alabashya.
