The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia arrived in the Syrian Arab Republic to participate in the 62nd Damascus International Fair, which will be held on 27 August 2025. The delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits.

The delegation also included Minister of Economy Teimuraz Mikvabiia, Minister of Culture Daur Kove, Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Iraklii Tuzhba, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Economic Affairs of the Abkhazian State University Maxim Gvindzhiia, Chief Specialist of the State Investment Agency Said Sanguliia, Head of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Artur Gaguliia, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Tamara Achba.

Upon arrival at the airport, the Abkhazian delegation was met by the staff of the Embassy of Abkhazia in Syria, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Muhammad Ali.

The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia is participating in the 62nd Damascus Fair at the invitation of the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic and President Ahmad Al-Sharaa.
