Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia attended a gala reception at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia to mark Russian Diplomats' Day. The Minister of Foreign Affairs honored the memory of Dmitry Vishernev, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Abkhazia, and his wife, Olga, who died tragically in Sukhum in September 2013 Oleg Bartsits congratulated the Embassy staff on Diplomats' Day.

"First of all, on this significant day, the professional holiday of Russian diplomacy, I would like to speak about the crucial role of Russian diplomacy plays in the life and recognition, international cooperation, and development of the Republic of Abkhazia. This is a true example of strategic alliance, partnership, friendship, and a very attentive attitude to the processes taking place in our Republic."
