Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, delivered a welcoming address at the final round of the "Vzglyad-2025" competition for journalists and bloggers, organized by the “Rossotrudnichestvo” Representative Office in the Republic of Abkhazia.
In his address, the Minister emphasized the long-standing traditions of humanitarian and information cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, which have been implemented for 16 years with the active participation of “Rossotrudnichestvo”. He thanked the Federal Agency for Compatriots Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, as well as the agency's director, Yevgeny Primakov, and the acting head of the “Rossotrudnichestvo” Representative Office in Abkhazia, Tatyana Stepanova.
The Minister emphasized the competition's dedication to the memory of Hero of Abkhazia and photojournalist Andrey Solovyov, who died in the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993, as well as the importance of preserving historical memory and countering the distortion of the events of the Great Patriotic War.
It was noted that the year of 2025 in Abkhazia is dedicated to the memory of the First President and national leader Vladislav Ardzinba.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of responsible and objective journalism in modern information challenges, expressed hope that the most deserving participants would receive awards, and wished all nominees success, thanking the organizers for hosting the competition.
