The staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia attended the evening in memory of Adgur Chegiia, the Ambassador at Large, First Class Advisor, teacher of the Department of History and Theory of International Relations, which was held at the Abkhaz State University.
During the evening, ASU students read poems written by Adgur Viktorovich.
Many words were said in memory of Adgur Chegiia by the teaching staff of ASU, his former students and colleagues with whom he worked side by side for many years.
The moderator of the memorial evening was Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Journalism Ekaterina Bebiya. She talked about his life, professional activities, creativity and noted his merits in Abkhaz diplomacy.
Over the years, Adgur Chegiia held senior positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The speakers noted the humanity and intelligence characteristic of Chegiia, and unanimously called him a man with a capital M.
