On October 11, in Geneva, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution on "Cooperation with Georgia", which once again reaffirms its commitment to the territorial integrity of Georgia, speaks of alleged "human rights violations" in the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia, and condemns the alleged "continuing illegal military presence" of Russia in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

On October 12, at the invitation of Javier Arrue, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Nicaragua, Inar Ladaria, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Nicaragua took part in the opening of ceremony of the VIII Friendship of Peoples Softball Cup named after Hugo Chavez Frias, the President of Venezuela, Comandante.

On October 11, at the invitation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Nicaragua, Inar Ladaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Nicaragua and Alias Aiba, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy took part in a special session of the National Assembly, at which the country's main legislative body condemned the genocide in Palestine and asked the government of Nicaragua to sever diplomatic relations with the government of the State of Israel.

On October 12, 1999, Vladislav Ardzinba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Sokrat Dzhindzholiya, the Speaker of the People's Assembly and the deputies of the People's Assembly signed the Act "On the State Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia". This event was preceded by a referendum on October 3, 1999, according to the results of which 97.7% of the citizens of the country approved the current Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia, which the Supreme Council of the Republic of Abkhazia adopted on November 26, 1994.

At the invitation of the Embassy of the Holy See (Vatican) in Syria, Muhammad Ali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Syria took part in the ceremony on the occasion of the completion of the diplomatic missions of the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan and Armenia in Syria.

On October 9, 2018, Sergey Shamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with Cihan Sultanoglu, the Co-Chairs of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Caucasus – UN, Viorel Mosanu, Co-Chair OSCE Co-Chair Political Advisor to the EU Co-Chair Gottfried Hanne. 

On October 9, 2019, Odyssey Bigvava, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia held a meeting with Cihan Sultanoglu, the Co-Chairs of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Caucasus - UN Viorel Mosanu, Co-Chair OSCE Co-Chair and Gottfried Hanne, Political Advisor to the EU Co-Chair. 

Alyas Aiba, Counselor of the 2-nd class, Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Nicaragua has been awarded the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the 2-nd class.

Martin Tarkil was appointed as Head of Staff of the MFA by order of Sergey Shamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

A meeting was held in the office of the Moscow Abkhaz Diaspora, in which Sergey Shamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Alkhas Kvitsiniia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation took part. The agenda of the event was the results of the meeting of Sergey Shamba with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.
