The Abkhaz-Austrian society was registered by the official structures of the Republic of Austria on October 11,2019.

The purpose of establishment of this organization is to facilitate the development of relations in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Austria as well as to provide of the objective information on Abkhazia in the field of history, culture of Abkhazia, education, tourism and other fields.

The visit of representatives of the Abkhaz-Austrian society to the Republic of Abkhazia is planned in the near future for a series of meetings with the representatives of ministries and departments of the republic.
