During the visit to the Syrian Arab Republic, the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Bartsits visited the Embassy of Abkhazia in Syria, where a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Syria Muhammad Ali.

During the meeting, issues related to the preparation and work of the Abkhazian pavilion at the upcoming 62nd Damascus International Fair were discussed. The opening of the 62nd Damascus International Fair will take place on August 27.

In the context of discussing issues of interstate Abkhazian-Syrian cooperation, the importance of developing relations in various areas of mutual interest was emphasized.

The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia includes: Minister of Economy Teimuraz Mikvabiia, Minister of Culture Daur Kove, Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Iraklii Tuzhba, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Economic Affairs of the Abkhazian State University Maxim Gvindzhiia, Chief Specialist of the State Investment Agency Said Sanguliia, Head of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Artur Gaguliia, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Tamara Achba.
