The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expresses its deepest and sincere condolences in connection with the tragic consequences of the massive floods that struck the Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation.

It is with deep sorrow that the Republic of Abkhazia received the news of human casualties, numerous injuries, and the destruction of homes and infrastructure in Makhachkala, Derbent, Kaspiysk, and several other districts. The consequences of this natural disaster, caused by extreme rainfall, affected thousands of people, leaving many families homeless.

In this difficult time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expresses its support to the fraternal people of Dagestan and shares the pain of loss with the families of the victims.

On the instructions of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, in coordination with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Abkhazia and other relevant agencies, and with the prompt assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, a humanitarian aid shipment was sent to the Republic of Dagestan.

The Republic of Abkhazia expresses solidarity with the people of Dagestan and notes the importance of consolidating efforts to overcome the consequences of the disaster.
