Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov: (Moscow, June 6, 2025)

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits sent congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Hasan Al-Shaibani on the occasion of one of the most revered Muslim holidays, Eid al-Adha "Kurban Bayram".

The UN General Assembly resolution "On the situation of internally displaced persons and refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia" was adopted without taking into account the opinion of the Abkhazian side.

On June 5, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits held a working meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation. During the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Russia Alkhas Kvitsiniia briefed the Minister on the current work of the Embassy.

On June 5, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits arrived in the Russian Federation on a visit. Upon arrival at the airport, the Minister was met by representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

On June 5, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman and the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky.

The next round of International discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia will take place on June 25 and 26, as told by the Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, head of the delegation Odissei Bigvava to the Sputnik Abkhazia.

On 4 June 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia between the Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Odissei Bigvava and the Co-Chairs of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasia - UN Co-Chair Cihan Sultanoğlu, EU Co-Chair Magdalena Grono and OSCE Co-Chair Christoph Ernst Späti.

On 4 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits received the Co-Chairs of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasia: UN Co-Chair Cihan Sultanoğlu, EU Co-Chair Magdalena Grono, OSCE Co-Chair Christoph Ernst Späti.

From June 5 to June 7, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation.
