On February 17, during a working visit by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia, a meeting was held between Oleg Bartsits, Abkhazia's Foreign Minister and Akhsar Dzhioev, Acting South Ossetian Foreign Minister.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further developing and strengthening OF the traditionally friendly relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia.

During the meeting, a Consultation Plan was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2026–2027.

At the end of the meeting, the ministers exchanged commemorative gifts.
