On July 21, 2025, as part of the official visit of Oleg Bartsits, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua a press conference for the Nicaraguan media was held.

During the press conference, the Minister thanked the leadership of the Republic of Nicaragua, represented by Daniel Ortega, the President for the warm welcome and attention shown to the members of the official delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Assessing the current state of Abkhaz-Nicaraguan cooperation, the head of the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry emphasized: "The agenda of our interstate communication is expanding and is filled with new projects and areas of activity.

Our relations are based on a solid contractual and legal framework. We welcome the confident development of our political dialogue, as well as the regular nature of intergovernmental and interdepartmental contacts."

The Minister positively assessed the results of the negotiations held with Laureano Ortega Murillo, the Presidential Advisor for the Promotion of Investment, Trade and International Cooperation and Waldrack Jentzke, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"I am convinced that the current visit of the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia to Nicaragua will give a new additional impetus to the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the development of multifaceted interaction between our countries and peoples."
