On July 21, 2025, as part of the official visit of Oleg Bartsits, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua, a meeting of the official delegation of Abkhazia with the Chairman of the Central Bank, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and heads of a number of commercial banks of Nicaragua took place.

During the detailed conversation, the parties outlined practical steps to intensify cooperation in the banking sector and elaboration of a mechanism for the development of trade and financial relations.
