September 30, 2024, Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie visited the Dubossary district and the city of Dubossary in honor of the Victory Day and Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Residents of the city and district defended their native land in 1990-1992. They did not stand aside and came to the aid of Abkhazia in the difficult days of the country's fight against the Georgian invaders.

The visit to Dubossary began with a meeting of Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR with Ruslan Chaban, the head of the state Administration of the Dubossary district and the city of Dubossary.

The meeting was also attended by Vitaly Yankovsky, the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR, Alexander Kolomytsev, Chairman of the Dubossary Council of People's Deputies deputy heads of the Dubossary state administration, as well as the ataman of the Dubossary Cossack district of the ChKV Alexander Dorma, who in 1996 took part in the peacekeeping operation in Abkhazia as a commander of a separate engineering company.
