On September 24, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua Inar Ladariia and Minister-Counselor of the Embassy Alias Aiba attended a ceremony marking the Republic of Nicaragua's recognition of Russia's new regions—the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions—as integral parts of the Russian Federation.
The event included the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to Russia's new regions and their fraternal ties with Russia, as well as a screening of the RT documentary "Battle for Mariupol."
The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, Gustavo Porras, Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Valdrack Jaentshcke, Managua Mayor Reina Rueda and other Nicaraguan government officials.
