At the invitation of the Embassy of the Holy See (Vatican) in the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Syria, attended a farewell ceremony held in Damascus.

The event marked the completion of the diplomatic missions of the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The ceremony was also attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Syrian Arab Republic.
