The meeting of Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR with Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, opening the meeting noted the importance of bilateral relations between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Abkhazia which are being maintained in an up-to-date state.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR conveyed good wishes and words of gratitude to the Pridnestrovian leadership for constructive joint activities and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Vitaly Ignatiev expressed gratitude for conveying sincere wishes from the leadership of Abkhazia and confirmed the continued focus of Pridnestrovie on the further development of interstate relations between the fraternal countries.

The Abkhaz diplomat informed the minister about the results of his working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia. Alexander Vataman particularly emphasized the unchanging attitude in Abkhazia to the continuation and development of cooperation with Transnistria in all possible areas. In the current conditions, contacts between relevant government bodies remain a priority.

During the dialogue, the parties defined the current organizational and substantive aspects of interaction between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR and the Official Representation of the Republic of Abkhazia in Transnistria in order to implement the planned activities.

At the end of the meeting, the diplomats agreed to maintain constant contacts on the entire spectrum of topical issues on the Abkhaz-Transnistrian agenda.
