On June 5, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman and the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky.

“There is a long-term friendship between our states, tested over the years. We continue and develop our friendly ties in those areas of cultural, historical heritage, and on those issues that arise, we find common ground, we interact. Including in democratic procedures aimed at expressing the will of the citizens of our republics. I am confident that in the future our relations will only expand, deepen and we will interact not only in the cultural and sports spheres, but also in the economic field,” said the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov.

Alexander Vataman informed Alexander Korshunov about his working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia in early May this year, including a meeting in the Parliament of Abkhazia, at which the Speaker of the People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Lasha Ashuba confirmed the readiness of the Parliament of Abkhazia to expand cooperation with the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovie in all possible areas.

“The Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia is aimed at continuing cooperation and its development. They know and understand the situation in Pridnestrovie well and are ready to work, both in terms of the committees and commissions of the legislative bodies of the Republics, and in general - on the main issues related to the activities of the parliaments of our countries,” said the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR A.
