On March 27, 2024, Mohammad Jalalovich Ali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic met with Mohammad Essam Hazmeh, Head of the Central Bank of Syria.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of banking cooperation between the two countries, discussed the development and promotion of trade and economic exchange between Syria and Abkhazia, as well as the need for mutual visits of specialists on banking issues.

In turn, the Ambassador of Abkhazia to Syria expressed his readiness to convey the ideas put forward to the government of his country in order to lay the necessary foundations for this cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Counselor of the Abkhaz Embassy - Gais al-Harki, Head of the Consular Section.
