The installation of a sculptural composition depicting the raising of the Victory Banner over the Reichstag by Soviet soldiers has been completed in Caracas.

The monument was erected on the Victory over Fascism Square being created in the city center and will be opened in the near future.

The decision to erect a monument to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the victory over Nazi Germany in Caracas belongs to Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela.
Earlier, the largest Victory Banner outside of Russia, measuring 25 by 11 meters was raised on the highest point of the Venezuelan capital, Mount Guaraira Repano.
